The championship for People with Disabilities is an individual competition with an additional team ranking. The teams may represent a national federation or any regional structure of a national federation. All the players must be members of the same federation; however, this rule is valid if all the members of the team are rated under 2100 or unrated. A registered player must be approved by his/her national chess federation or by the FIDE DIS Commission. Each team consists of four players.
Time control: 45 minutes + 30 seconds increment per move, starting from move 1.
The registration can be done via the FIDE member federation representative, individual applications will be reviewed before being accepted. All players participating must be registered at the FIDE Disabled list.
The deadline for the registration is 1st November 2021.
DIS will nominate a fair-play panel (hereinafter referred to as FPP). The FPP consists of the Chief Arbiter, one Fair-Play expert and one member of DIS.
FPP keeps the right to disqualify any player for a suspected fair-play violation during the course or after conclusion of the tournament, basing upon the results of the anti-cheating algorithm of the HIP and/or external tools and/or other evidence deemed sufficient by the panel itself to establish a cheating incident. The Chief Arbiter, in consultation with FPP, in case he finds it necessary, has the right to disqualify a player or a team.
