In Round 4 of the prestigious Tata Steel Chess 2026 tournament in Wijk aan Zee, Netherlands, both Uzbek grandmasters secured impressive victories.

Nodirbek Abdusattorov, playing with white pieces, defeated Czech grandmaster Nguyen Thai Dai Van. After four rounds, Abdusattorov accumulated 3 points and climbed to the top of the leaderboard. He had previously drawn with young Turkish prodigy Yagiz Kaan Erdogmus (14 years old), defeated India's Praggnanandhaa, and drew with Aravindh Chithambaram.

Javohir Sindarov, playing with black pieces, defeated German grandmaster Matthias Bluebaum and sits second with 2.5 points.

In Round 5, Nodirbek Abdusattorov will face American Hans Niemann, while Javohir Sindarov will play against Yagiz Kaan Erdogmus. The tournament consists of 13 rounds.
