“Women’s Chess Championship 2025” has concluded.
The “Women’s Chess Championship 2025” tournament, held in Samarkand with a prize fund of $50,000, has concluded. Nearly 150 female chess players from 14 countries competed in two groups for the top prize. In the final 9th round, the winners were determined. In Group "A", the main prize went to Poland's Alicja Śliwicka, who defeated Russia's Anastasia Bondaruk despite playing with black pieces. With 7.5 points out of 9, Alicja became the tournament champion. Russia’s Anna Shukhman, who drew with her compatriot Polina Shuvalova, secured second place with 7 points.
