From July 5 to 29 this year, the city of Batumi (Georgia) will host the 2025 Women’s Chess World Cup. The tournament will feature 107 of the world’s strongest female grandmasters from 47 countries.
The following players will represent Uzbekistan:
-IM Gulrukhbegim Tokhirjonova – awarded a FIDE President’s wild card
-WIM Afruza Hamdamova – FIDE Zone 3.4 Champion
-WIM Umida Omonova – 2025 Uzbekistan Women's Champion
The prize fund of the tournament is $676,250, with $50,000 awarded to the champion.
The winner and top finishers will qualify for the 2026 FIDE Women’s Candidates Tournament.
