Today, a press conference dedicated to the FIDE Grand Swiss 2025 international tournament, a major competition that has captured the attention of the world chess community, took place in Samarkand.

At the conference, pressing issues related to the tournament were discussed, and international and national chess figures and athletes shared their views.

The event was attended by FIDE President Arkady Dvorkovich, Minister of Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan Adham Ikromov, 1st Vice President of the Chess Federation of Uzbekistan Alisher Sadullayev, reigning World Champion Gukesh Dommaraju, and two-time World Youth Champion among girls Afruza Khamdamova.
