From May 28 to June 7, 2025, Namangan will host the 1st International Namangan Chess Festival. This tournament is part of the 64th International Flower Festival and its cultural and sports program.

The event will be played using the Swiss system with 9 rounds. Each player will receive 90 minutes, starting from the first move, with an additional 30 seconds increment per move

The total prize fund is 350,000,000 Uzbek sums, making this one of the biggest chess events in Uzbekistan this year.
